Upward Bound

Friends, I am excited to announce that I will be teaching art at McNeese State University this summer for the Upward Bound Program. What an amazing opportunity - I cannot wait to see what these young adults will create over the next 6 weeks! Upward Bound is a pre-college educational support program that is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Sixty-two students from the target schools are selected to participate in this program. The program is designed for high school students from low-income and/or first generation families; and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelors degree. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.

Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance.
